Elke vrijdag om 12.00 uur worden op www.europeanborderbreakerscharts.eu de nieuwe European Border Breakers Charts (EBBC) gepubliceerd. Het overzicht van opkomende Europese artiesten, die buiten hun thuisland succesvol zijn. Dit succes wordt in toenemende mate bepaald doordat de muziek van die artiesten gestreamd wordt. Daarom worden in de EBBC vanaf 2018 de door Radiomonitor geleverde airplaygegevens gecombineerd met beschikbare streamingdata. Dit maakt de charts nog sneller, nog vollediger en nog relevanter. Kortom: een onmisbare bron van informatie voor iedereen die, zakelijk of privé, de vinger aan de pols van de Europese muziek wil houden.
Wat airplay betreft, is het panel van gemeten EBU-radiostations aangepast. Alle 50 geselecteerde zenders richten zich op 10 tot 34-jarigen, wat goed aansluit bij de doelgroep van de European Border Breakers Awards. Internationaal succes in de EBBC is een van de belangrijkste criteria om artiesten een EBBA toe te kennen.
Tot slot zullen tracks vanaf nu na 52 weken uit de hitlijst verdwijnen. Door de ruimte die daarmee ontstaat, wordt een groter aantal beginnende Europese artiesten zichtbaar in de European Border Breakers Charts.
Naast de EBBC Top 100, die gebaseerd is op zowel airplay als streaming, zijn op www.europeanborderbreakerscharts.eu ook de Airplay Top 100 en de Streaming Top 40 te vinden. Maar ook aankomende hits in de Tips by Country-lijst en het succesvolste nummer per land in de Top Tracks by Country. Bij elk liedje is precies aangegeven in welke Europese landen het een hit is. Ook kan elk nummer via de unieke play/share-knop bekeken en beluisterd worden en via social media worden verspreid. www.europeanborderbreakerscharts.eu is daarmee de site om aanstormende Europese artiesten te ontdekken en met anderen te delen. Streaming added to European Border Breakers Charts
Every Friday at 12:00 the new European Border Breakers Charts (EBBC) are published at www.europeanborderbreakerscharts.eu. The way to discover emerging European artists who are successful outside their home country. This success is more and more determined by music being streamed. Therefore, from 2018 onwards, airplay data supplied by Radiomonitor will be combined with available streaming data to determine the chart, making the EBBC even faster, even more complete and even more relevant. In short: an essential source of information for anyone who is interested and would like to stay up to date about European music.
With regard to airplay, the panel of measured EBU radio stations has been adjusted. All 50 of the selected stations focus on 10 to 34-year-olds, the focus group of the European Border Breakers Awards. International success in the EBBC is one of the main criteria for artists to be awarded with an EBBA.
Lastly, from now on, tracks will be removed from the chart after 52 weeks. This will free up space for a larger amount of emerging European artists to become visible in the European Border Breakers Charts.
Next to the combined-data Top 100, based on both airplay and streaming, www.europeanborderbreakerscharts.eu now also presents a separate Airplay Top 100 and Streaming Top 40. Additionally, the Tips by Country chart highlights up and coming tracks whereas the Top Tracks by Country chart gives an overview of the most successful track per country. For each song you will be able to find out in which country it is successful. By using the unique play/share button, each song can also be listened to and shared via social media. This makes www.europeanborderbreakerscharts.eu the platform to discover and propagate new European talent. Fresh charts every Friday around noon!
